John Chapter 3
1) There was a man of the sect of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, who was a leader within the ruling religious order of the Jews.
2) He came to Yahushua during the night... in secret..., and said to Him: Master, we... we leaders and masters of the ruling religious order of the Jews... know... we perceive... we recognize... that you are a teacher who has come from Yahweh; because no man can do these miracles that you do unless Yahweh is with him.
3) Yahshua answered and said to him: Truly, I tell you, that unless a man is born... 1080 gennao... {ghen-nah'-o} - fathered... begotten... given birth to... again... 509 anothen {an'-o-then} - from above... from a higher place... another time... from the beginning..., then he cannot see... 1492 eido {i-do'}, or oida {oy'-da} - see and experience the privileges of... the kingdom... 932 basileia {bas-il-i'-ah} - the royal power... the dominion... the right, or authority to rule within the kingdom... of Yahweh.
*** "the kingdom"
What is being spoken of here is the right to rule within the dominion of the kingdom of Yahweh; and is not to be confused with the actual domain... the territory and holdings that comprise the dominion of the kingdom... of Yahweh. Many may actually see and experience the kingdom over which Yahweh is Soveriegn; but may never hold an authoritative position within that dominion ***
4) Nicodemus said to Him: How can a man be born... 1080 gennao... {ghen-nah'-o} - be fathered... be begotten and be delivered... given birth to... when he is old? Can he go back into his mothers' womb and be born... 1080 gennao... {ghen-nah'-o} - be fathered, begotten and delivered... given birth to... the second time?
5) Yahshua answered: Truly... 281 amen {am-ane'} - Truly... most assuredly... *** this word used at the beginning of a discourse or teaching*** I tell you, that unless a man is born... 1080 gennao {ghen-nah'-o} - fathered... begotten... delivered... of... 1537 ek, or ex - out of... from... by... water... 5204 hudor - water.... and the spirit... 4151 pneuma {pnyoo'-mah} - as the primary element..., he cannot enter into... 1525 eiserchomai {ice-er'-khom-ahee} - cannot enter into the condition of... the kingdom... 932 basileia {bas-il-i'-ah} - the right, or authority to rule within the kingdom... of Yahweh.
6) That which is born... 1080 gennao {ghen-nah'-o} - fathered... delivered... of... 1537 ek, or ex - out of... from... by... the flesh... 4561 sarx {sarx} - the physical, sensual, earthly nature of the flesh... is flesh... 4561 sarx - is physical, earthly; and sensual; and that which is born... 1080 gennao {ghen-nah'-o} - fathered... delivered... of... 1537 ek, or ex - out of... from... the spirit... 4151 pneuma {pnyoo'-mah} - the vital, principal power by which the body is animated... the light... the life force... the power from which thoughts, feelings, and actions are generated... which can only come from Yahweh... is spirit... is that power... that life force... that light which is of Yahweh, His Order, and His Will and Purpose within His Creation...
7) Do not wonder that I told you that you must be born... 1080 gennao {ghen-nah'-o} - be fathered... be begotten... be delivered... again... 509 anothen {an'-o-then} - from above... from a higher place... and another time... from the beginning...
8) The wind blows where it will... 2309 thelo {thel'-o} - wherever it intends, purposes, or desires... this word used metaphorically regarding the wind only in this verse..., and you hear the sound of it but cannot perceive the 4159 pothen {poth'-en}... origin or source that caused it to begin to exist... and... 2064 erchomai {er'-khom-ahee} - come from one place to another... and you cannot determine where it... 5217 hupago {hoop-ag'-o} - goes away to... departs to...; so... in this manner... likewise... is every one who is born of the spirit.
9) Nicodemus responded and said: How can these things be?
10) Yahushua answered and said to him: You are master of... 1320 didaskalos {did-as'-kalos} - You are a teacher... you are someone who considers himself to be competent, able, and qualified to teach the things of Yahweh to... Israel, and you do not know these things?
11) Truly, I tell you, that we... that I and my disciples... speak and teach because of what we have experienced and gotten a knowledge of; and we understand the force and meaning of what we say; and we have born witness to what we have gotten a knowledge of; and you..., you who consider yourselves to be teachers of Israel... do not believe our testimony.
12) If I have spoken to you of earthly things... If I have spoken to you about of concepts and ideas that pertain to things that exist on the earth; and the nature of those things... and you do not believe what I have told you, then how is it possible that you will believe what I say if I tell you about things that exist and take place in heaven; and are a part of the nature of Yahweh's Order of things in the place where Yahweh dwells?
13) Also, I tell you that no man has ever gone up... risen up... to heaven... to the place where Yahweh dwells... except the man who was sent and came down from heaven. I speak of the Son of man, who is... 1510 eimi {i-mee} - who had been; and who has always been... in heaven... in the place where Yahweh dwells and where His Order exists at all times...
14) And just as Moses exalted the serpent...Just as when Moses held the serpent up away from the earth... while in the wilderness, in the same manner must the Son of man be lifted up... the Son who is born of... from... out of the normal course of what is natural for... mankind must be raised up... must be elevated above/beyond the earth and the inherent earthy, sensual nature of the order that is of the earth... must be separated from the earth and the nature of the earth... so that His honor... so that His majestic nature and worth, which is of/from Yahweh and His Order, is recognised...
15) This must be done, so that whoever believes... so that whoever places confidence and trust for life and eternal existence... on Him... on Yahushua... on Yah's Salvation... would not be destroyed, but would instead, possess eternal life.
16) Because Yahweh loved the order of things that He caused to exist so much, that He gave His only son born of His seed, so that whoever believes in him would not be destroyed, but possess life that never ceases.
17) For Yahweh did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world; but, He instead sent Him so that the world could be saved through Him.
18) He who believes... 4100 pisteuo {pist-yoo'-o} - The one who places confidence and trust for his/her life and existence... on Him... on Yahushua... is not condemned; but the one who does not believe... 4100 pisteuo {pist-yoo'-o}... is already condemned because, he/she has not believed... 4100 pisteuo {pist-yoo'-o} - placed confidence and trust in... the authority of the name of the only begotten Son of... 3439 monogenes {mon-og-en-ace'} - this word only used of sons or daughters, and who it refers to is viewed in relation to the parents - in this case the word refers to the only one of His kind... the only existing being that has been fathered by... Yahweh;
19) Moeover, this is the condemnation that has already been placed on those who do not believe... on those who do not place trust and confidence for their lives and existence in Yahushua... Light has come into the world... The Light of Yahweh, His Truth; and His Order has come into the order of things that has no light... no truth... from Yahweh...; and men loved the darkness... men and mankind preferred the existence that is blind to the truth of Who and What Yahweh is... more than light... more than an existence that is able to see and comprehend the Truth.. The existence of darkness and blindness was preferred more than the light of the Life Force of Yahweh and His Order..., because their deeds were evil... because the works and accomplishments of their hands and their minds were from a nature that is not as it should be...
20) For every one who does evil... For each and every one who produces anything from the mind or through the use of the body that has its origin in the nature that is not as it should be according to Yahweh's Order... hates the light... detests and shrinks away from the Light of Yahweh and the Truth of His Order for all things within His Creation that are as they should be..., neither will any of them come to the light, for fear that his deeds would be reproved... because of the fear that is within him that the true nature of his accomplishments and desires would be refuted... that he would have his faults revealed...; and that he would be called to account for them; and that he would be convicted and condemned for the nature that is within him...
21) But he who does truth comes to the True light of Yahweh's Truth so that his deeds can be made to be clearly seen and so that the nature of his deeds can be recognised that they are produced and accomplished by Yahweh
22) After these things had taken place, Yahushua and His followers came to the land of Judea; and He... Yahushua... stayed there with them... with His disciples..., and immersed.
*** Yahushua immersed believers as well as His disciples??? See Jn 4:2 ***
23) And John was also immersing in Aenon which is near Salim... 4530 Saleim {Sal-ime'} - "peace" - a well known town 8 miles (11 km) south of Scythopolis..., because there was much water there: and they... the people who placed confidence in the teachings of teshuva... of returning to the proper path of thinking, feeling, and decision making concerning Yahweh that was taught by John... came, and were immersed.
24) Because he... John... Yochanan the Immerser... had not yet been thrown into prison.
25) Then there arose a question between Johns' disciples and those who were a part of the order of the jews about ritual purification.
26) And they came to John, and said to him: My Master... a term of deference and respect..., He that was with you on the other side of Yordan... the Yarden River... 2446 Iordanes {ee-or-dan'-ace} - "the descender" - from the Hebrew word 3383 Yarden {yar-dane'} - "descender" - from the root Hebrew primitive root word 3381 yarad {yaw-rad'} - meaning: to go down, sink down, descend, decline... , whom you bore witness of. Look! He immerses... he cleanses... washes... by immersion..., and all are coming to him.
*** Again a witness. Not that Yahushua immersed believers; but that his disciples did so under His authority... Clarified in Jn 4:2 ***
27) John answered and said: A man cannot receive anything unless it is given to him from heaven.
28) You yourselves are witnesses that I stated that I am not the Anointed One, but that I have been sent before... in front of... Him in order to call attention to Him when He appears publically so that He is recognised for Who and What He IS.
29) He that has the bride is the bridegroom; but the friend of the bridegroom, who stands watch and is waiting for Him to appear; and hears him, rejoices greatly because of the bridegrooms voice. My joy is complete for this reason.
30) He must become greater, but I become less in authority and popularity.
31) He who comes from above is above all; but he who is of... he who exists and who originated on... the earth is earthly and speaks of the earth. He who comes from heaven is above all.
32) And what HE has seen and heard, He testifies of; and no man believes His testimony.
33) He that has believed His testimony attests that Yahweh is true.
34) Because He whom Yahweh has sent speaks the words of Yahweh. For Yahweh does not give the Spirit in measured amounts.
35) The Father loves the Son and has given all things into His hand.
36) He that places his confidence in the Son... the Son of Yahweh... has life without cessation; and he that places no confidence in the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of Yahweh remains on him.
