John Chapter 11 (Expounded)

John Chapter 11
Preface: Yahushua is now staying in the area where Yochannan the Immerser had done his work. Across the Jordan and away from Yerushalem in a place called Aenon... 137 Ainon {ahee-nohn'} - 'springs' which is near Salim... 4530 saleim {sal-ime'} - a well known town about 8 miles south of Scythopolis. (see John 3:22-23) Yahushua is staying there because of the animosity of those of the ruling religious order of the Jews in Yerushalem who are constantly on the lookout to capture Him and stone Him to death for His teachings and practices that they perceive are against the Torah.
1) Now, a man had been sick for a time who was named Lazarus. This man was from Bethany, which was the town of Mary and her sister, Martha.
2) (It was Mary who had anointed Yahushua with costly ointment and wiped His feet with her hair. It was her brother who had been sick.) ... at this time this incident had not yet happened... see Mark 14:3 and John 12:3...
3) For this reason..., because Lazarus had been sick for a time... his sisters sent word to him... to Yahushua... saying: Master, the one whom you love is sick... is weak, he is without strength... he is feeble...
4) When Yahushua heard, He said: This sickness is not to... to the advantage of... to further the cause... for the purpose of his... death, but instead, it is for the glorification of Yahweh; and it is, so that the Son of Yahweh can be glorified because of it... So that the dignity and worth of Who and What the Son of Yahweh is can be made known and acknowledged...
5) Now, Yahushua loved Martha and her sister, and Lazarus.
6) For this reason, when He had heard that Lazarus was sick, He still stayed where He was for two more days.
7) Then after that time had passed, He said to His disciples: Let's go to Judaea again... 2449 Ioudaia {ee-oo-dah'-yah} -"he shall be praised" region of land that is at this time under Roman rule that throughout history belonged to the tribe of Yahuda; and was populated by all who had become known as Yahudim... Ioudaios... Jews...
8) The disciples said to Him: Master, those of the ruling religious order of the Jews who are there, recently tried to kill you, and you want to go there again?
9) Yahushua answered: Are there not twelve hours in a day? If any man walk... 4043 peripateo {per-ee-pat-eh'-o} - live... make one's way... conduct one's self... regulate one's life... make due use of opportunities... during the light of day, then he does not stumble... 4350 proskopto {pros-kop'-to} - then he does not meet up with some harm because of tripping over something... metaphorically: he is not persuaded to sin... because he sees the light of this world... because he comprehends Yahweh's Way... He perceives and recognizes Yahweh's Order... and in this case, he sees Yahushua, who is the light... the life force... of the world... of mankind...
10) Yet, if a man walks 4043 peripateo {per-ee-pat-eh'-o} - live... makes his way... conducts himself... regulates his life... makes due use of opportunities as he progresses... in the night... 3571 nux {noox} - night - metaphorically: the time of death... the time of blindness... the time of moral stupidity and darkness due to spiritual blindness... then he stumbles... then he is persuaded to sin... because there is no light... no life force from Yahweh's Order... within him.
11) Yahushua spoke these things..., made a point of teaching them these things...; and afterward said to them: Our friend Lazarus sleeps... 2837 koimao {koy-mah'-o} - to cause to sleep... to put to sleep... metaphorically: has fallen asleep... has died..., but I go to awaken him out of sleep... 1852 exupnizo {ex-oop-nid'-zo} - to wake him up... to awaken him from his condition of being asleep...
12) Then His disciples said: Master, if he is sleeping... if he has fallen asleep..., he will get better.
***Notice that Yahushua's disciples did not think it strange for Yahushua to know that Lazarus had fallen asleep even though he was miles away at that time... this speaks of the trust and confidence that they placed on what He taught them and told them; and the responsibility that a teacher of Yahweh's Way had to be accountable for because of that kind of trust...
13) But Yahushua had spoken of his death; and His disciples thought that He had spoken of resting in sleep.
14) Then Yahushua said to them plainly: Lazarus is dead... 599 apothnesko {ap-oth-nace'-ko}...;
15) And, I am glad for your sakes that I was not there when he died, so that you can believe. Now, for this reason, let us go to him.
*** Note here that, although His disciples trusted Yahushua as their teacher and guide of the Way of Yahweh and His Order, they still did not comprehend Who and What He actually is. For they perceived Him as one of the many Master Teachers of Israel who were in that area; and recognised that He exhibited powers, both in reason and ability, that are beyond the norm for a Master Teacher; and thought, perhaps correctly, that this was why the others sought to kill Him...
16) Than Thomas, who is surnamed Didymus... 1324 Didumos {did'-oo-mos} - "two-fold", or, "two"..., said to his fellow disciples: Let's all go, also, so that we can die with him.
17) Then, when Yahushua arrived, He found... He discovered... that Lazarus had already lain in the grave for four days.
18) Now Bethany was near Yerushalem, about 15 furlongs... 1.7 miles... away.
*** Aenon, where Yahushua was staying, is on the other side of the Jordan River, away from Yerushalem, so Bethany could conceivably have been at least a two day journey by travelling on foot...?
19) And many of the religious order of the Jews came to Martha and Mary, to comfort them concerning their brother.
20) Then Martha, as soon as she had heard that Yahushua was coming, went out and met Him, but Mary stayed sitting in the house.
21) Then Martha said to Yahushua: Master, if you had been here, my brother would not have died.
22) But I know, even now... even though my brother is dead and you were not here to prevent it..., that whatever you will ask of Yahweh, Yahweh will give it to you.
23) Yahushua said to her: Your brother will rise again.
24) Martha said to Him: I know that he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.
25) Yahshua said to her: I am the resurrection and the life;... Word = life = light of men... illumination... life force from Yahweh's Order... he/she who believes in me... who places confidence in me for his life and eternal existence... even though he may be dead, he will live.
26) And, whoever lives, and believes in me, will never die. Do you believe this?
27) She said to Him: Yes Master; I believe that you are the anointed one, the Son of Yahweh, who is to become known to the world.
28) And when she had spoken in this manner, she went her way and summoned her sister Mary secretly, saying: The Master has come, and is asking for you.
29) As soon as she heard, she quickly stood up and went to Him.
30) Now Yahushua had not yet reached the town, but was at the place where Martha had met Him.
31) Those who were of the order of the Jews who were with Mary in the house, comforting her, when they saw her get up and leave in haste, they followed her, saying: She is going to her brother's grave; to grieve there.
32) Then when Mary got to where Yahushua was, and saw Him, she fell down at His feet, saying to Him: Master, if you had been here my brother would not have died.
33) For this reason, when Yahushua saw her weeping, and the weeping of those who were of the order of the Jews who had followed her, He groaned in the Spirit and was troubled.
34) And said: Where have you put him? They said: Master, come and see.
35) Yahushua wept.
36) Then those who were of the order of the Jews said: Look how He loved him.
37) And some of them said: Couldn't this man, who opened the eyes of the blind, have been able to prevent this man from dying?
38) For this reason Yahushua, again groaning within Himself, came to the grave. It was a cave, and a stone lay on the opening of it.
39) Yahushua said: Take away the stone. Martha, the sister of the man who was dead, said: Master, by this time he stinks, for he has been four days.
40) Yahushua said to her: Did I not say to you that if you would believe, you would see the majesty of Yahweh?
41) Then they took away the stone from where the dead had been placed. And Yahushua looked up and said: Father, I thank you for hearing me.
42) And I knew that you always hear me; but I say this because of the people standing near, so that they can believe that you have sent me.
43) And when He had spoken in this manner, He spoke out with a loud, strong voice: Lazarus, come out.
44) And he who had been dead came out, bound hand and foot with grave clothes; and his face had a cloth tied over it. Yahushua said to them: Untie him and let him go.
45) Then, many who belonged to the ruling religious order of the Jews, who had come to comfort Mary; and who had seen the things that Yahushua had done, believed on Him.
46) Moreover, some of them left and went back to the Pharisees and told them of the things that Yahshua had done.
47) Then the chief priests and the Pharisees gathered together to deliberate, and they said: What do we do? For this man does many miracles!
48) If we continue in this manner to leave Him alone, all will believe on Him; and the Romans will come and take away both our place... 5117 topos {top'-os} - our power... our opportunity... our station and status within the Roman empire... and our nation 1484 ethnos {eth'-nos} - our ethnic individuality as a people... our nationality...
49) And one of them, Caiaphas, being the high priest that same year, said to them: You know nothing at all,
50) Neither do you consider the concept of it being expedient... profitable... for us that one man should die for the people so that the whole nation... 1484 ethnos {eth'-nos} - so that our ethnic individuality as a people... so that our nationality as Yahudim... does not become destroyed.
51) Moreover, he did not speak of himself as being the one to die in place of the entire nation; but, being high priest that year, he prophesied that Yahushua would die for the nationality of all Yahudim... that ethnic individuality of the order of the Jews which sets them apart from all others in the world...
52) And not just for that nation only; but so that He would also bring together in unity the children of Yahweh that were dispersed abroad... scattered into all nations in what is known as the diaspora...
*** Note: This is logic that is a justification of a rationale that is not Yahweh's... but are survival instincts for progeny that are sensual and earth based... with no real trust in Yahweh Himself. There is no trust in Yahweh's Strength and Power to perform His promises to the forefathers of Israel in the face of such a prospect of the assimilation of a nation by a conquering people...
53) Then, from that day onward, they all deliberated together for the purpose of killing Him.
54) For this reason, Yahushua conducted his life openly no longer among those of the order of the Jews; but left from there to a country near the wilderness, into a city called Ephraim, and lived there with His disciples. ...A type or shadow of where we are now?...
55) And the time for the observance of Passover was near; and many went out of the country to go up to Yerushalem, to purify themselves.
56) Then they looked for Yahushua, and spoke amongst themselves as they stood in the temple: What do you think? Will He come to the feast or not?
57) Now both the chief priests and the Pharisees had issued an order that if any man knew where Yahushua was, the location of His whereabouts was to be revealed so that He could be captured.

John Chapter 5 (Expounded)

John Chapter 5

1) After these things had taken place... after Yahushua had left the region of Iudea... 2449 Ioudaia {ee-yoo-dah'-ah} - "he shall be praised"... and had gone to Cana, a village in the region of Galilee; and had caused the second recorded miracle of His physical life to take place..., there was a feast of the Jews; and Yahushua went up from Galilee to Yerushalem... 2414 Hierosoluma {hee-er-os-ol'-oo-mah} - "set ye double peace" - originating from the Hebrew word 3389 Yeruwshalaim {yer-oo-shaw-lah'-im} - "teaching of peace" which stems from two root words - 3384 yarah, or, as is found in 2 Chronicles 26:15, yara' {yaw-raw'} - to direct... to teach... to point out... to instruct; and 7999 shalam {shaw-lam'} - be in a covenant of peace... be at peace...

2) Now, there is at Yerushalem, near the place of sheep... the sheep gate..., a pool... 2861 kolumbethra {kol-oom-bay'-thrah} - a reservoir or pool for bathing... which is called... which is surnamed... which has a nickname of ..., in the Hebrew language, Bethesda... 964 Bethesda {bay-thes-dah} - a word of Aramaic origin meaning "House of Mercy" or "Flowing Water" ... which has five porches...4745 stoa {sto-ah'} - roof covered places, supported by columns, where people can stand and walk while being protected from the heat of the sun and bad weather...

3) In these protected areas a great multitude of people who were weak and feeble or sickly, or blind, or lame because of being deprived of feet or legs, or who had portions of their bodies in a withered, shrunken or atrophied condition were laying, and all of them were waiting for a moving, or, an agitation of the water in this pool.

4) They were all waiting because an angel... 32 aggelos - a messenger or envoy sent from Yahweh... would come down at a certain point in time and agitate the water, stirring it up, and whoever would be able to get into the water before all of the others who were waiting there, after the angel had done as he was sent to do, was healed of whatever infirmity or disease that he/she had.

5) And a certain man was there, who had been living with his body being in a weakened or feeble condition for thirty-eight years.

6) When Yahushua saw him laying there, and knew that he had been in this condition a long time, He said to him; Do you want to become healthy?

7) The sick, feeble man answered Him; Sir... 2962 kurios {koo'-ree-os} - a title of honor which expresses respect and reverence... stemming from the word kuros - which means supremacy... , I have no one to help me get into the water when it is stirred up; but instead, while I am trying to get in, someone else steps in front of me.

8) Yahushua said to him: Get up, pick up your bed, and walk.

9) Immediately, the man was made healthy, and he picked up his bed... his pallet... his cot... and walked away; and the day that this took place was the Sabbath... 4521 sabbaton {sab'-bat-on} - the seventh day of each week, on which all Israelites are required by Yahweh to abstain from all work, and rest... stems from the Hebrew word 7673 shabath {shaw-bath'} - a primitive root word meaning: to cease... to desist... to rest...

10) Consequently, the Jews said to the man who had been restored to health: Stop! What do you think you are doing? It is the Sabbath Day; it is not permitted for you to carry your bed.

11) He answered them: The man who healed me, He said to me; "Pick up your bed and walk."

12) They then asked him: Who is the man that told you to pick your bed up and carry it?

13) The man who had been healed did not know who it was that had made him healthy. For Yahushua had moved Himself away from that area without being seen because of the multitude being in that place.

14) Some time after this incident, Yahushua found the man in the temple; and said to him: Understand! You have been made healthy; sin no more... do not wander away and miss the pathway of life progress that is according to Yahweh's Order and violate the commandments of Yahweh any longer... so that a worse thing does not happen to you.

15) The man left and told the Jews that it had been Yahushua that had healed him.

16) Because He had done these things on the Sabbath Day, the Jews ran swiftly after Yahushua with hostility in order to capture and kill him.

17) But Yahushua gave answer to their accusations: My Father works... 2038 ergozamai {er-gad'-zom-ahee} - labors... does work... hitherto... 2193 heos {heh'-oce} - until... 737 arti {ar'-tee} - just now... this moment... now at this time... - My Father has been active and exerting His powers and abilities to produce His purposes at this very moment..., the words 'and I' are added by translators... work... 2038 ergozamai {er-gad'-zom-ahee} - by doing work... by working...

18) Therefore the Jews strove even harder to kill Him... Shouting... shaking fists... reaching toward Him to grab Him... etc.... Not only because He had, according to their perceptions, broken the Sabbath; but also because He said that Yahweh was His father; and indicated to them by this statement that He considered Himself equal with Yahweh.

19) Then, Yahushua answered them and said: Truly... 281 amen {am-ane'} - at the beginning of a discourse this indicates - surely... of a truth... Truly... I speak to all of you when I say that a son can do nothing that comes from His own will and purpose; but instead, he does what He sees with His physical eyes and with the eyes of his mind that the Father does. Because it is true, that whatever the things are that the Father does, the Son does those same things in the same way.

20) You all recognize this as true because you know that a Father loves a Son and shows Him all the things that He Himself does... 4160 poieo {poy-eh'-o} - everything that he makes... everything that he constructs, forms, fashions and produces...; and He... the Son... will show... 1166 deiknuo {dike-noo'-o} - and the Son will expose, to the physical eyes and to the eyes of the mind, the evidence or proof of a thing. In this case, the proof of what Yahushua's Father has taught and commanded Him to do by His own example to Yahushua... - and the Son will show, through the use of words or by His actions..., greater works than these... greater works than the miracles and healings... that you have already seen, so that you may wonder... 2296 thaumazo {thou-mad'-zo} - so that you will be struck with astonishment and be amazed...

21) For just as the Father wakes up the dead and causes them to rise up; and gives them life. In the same manner the Son gives life... In the same manner that His Father does, the Son gives the ability to get to know and comprehend what true life according to Yahweh's Order is... to those whom He purposes.

22) For the Father judges... 2919 krino {kree'-no} - picks out... chooses... prefers... no one, but has given all judgment... 2920 krisis {kree'-sis} - all separations... all selections... all opinions or decisions concerning  the 'right or wrong'... the approval or disapproval of anything... to the Son.

23) He... the Father... Yahweh... has done this so that all who form opinions of the Son should honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He/she that does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who has sent Him.

24) Truly... 281 amen {am-ane'}... I say to you; He/she who hears my word and believes... 4100 pistueo {pist-yoo'-o} - is persuaded of the truth of and places confidence and trust for their life and eternal existence in... Him who sent me has everlasting life...; 2222 zoe {dzo'-ay} - has life that is real and genuine, without beginning or end, which always has been and always will be as part of Yahweh's True Order... and will not come into condemnation... 2920 krisis {kree'-sis} - and will not experience any  separation from Yahweh's Order, be judged to be "as one ought not be"; and will not receive a sentence of condemnation and destruction as punishment...; but will instead, pass over... 3327 metabaino {met-ab-ah'-ee-no} -  to pass over from one place to another, to remove, depart... - but will instead, be moved ... from... out of... away from... death to... towards... life... 2222 zoe {dzo'-ay} - life that is real and genuine, without beginning or end, which always has been and always will be as part of Yahweh's True Order...

25) Truly... 281 amen {am-ane'} - Truly... I speak truth when... I tell you: The time is coming and is even now, when the dead... 3498 nekros {nek-ros'}- when those who are destitute of life... when those who are inactive because of not "be as they ought to be"... when those who are inoperative within Yahweh's True Order and completely destitute of  power... will hear the voice of the Son of Yahweh; and they that hear... 191 akouo {ak-oo'-o} - and, those who perceive and understand the sound that I make and are able to comprehend what I have said... - and, those who are my sheep, whom the Father is causing to move toward me and follow me as I lead them, who recognize me for Who and What I am... will live.

26) For just as the Father has life... For just as it is true that the Father has true life that cannot be contained within the framework of time and a physical, sensual awareness... within Himself, so has He given to the Son the same ability and power to have life... true life... within Himself;

27) And He... the Father... Yahweh... has given Him... the Son... Yahushua... authority to carry out the rendering of decisions concerning right and wrong within mankind also, because He is the Son of Man.

28) Do not wonder at this: Because the time is coming during which all that are in the graves shall hear His voice;

29) And they will come out of those graves. Those who have done good according to Yahweh's Order will come out to partake of the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil according to Yahweh's Order will come out of their graves to partake of the resurrection of condemnation and punishment.

***********************************************************************************
This is a reference to both resurrections - an understanding of the first resurrection was given to the apostle Saul, which he gave to the assemblies in Corinth and Thessalonika; and a vision of both resurrections was given to Yochanan while in exile on the Isle of Patmos.

1 Corinthians 15:51-52
51 Look with your mind's eye; and understand. I show you a mystery. We... we who are united with the Master Yahushua the Anointed One... will not all sleep... we will not all die..., but we will all be changed... transformed...  52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the sounding of the last trump. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible... unable to die... , and we will be changed... transformed...

1 Thessalonians 4:15-18
15 For this we say unto you, by reason of the word that was given to us by the Master Yahushua, that we, who are united with the Master Yahushua, who are alive and remain... we who are left... we who have survived... until the coming... until the returning again... of the Master to Whom we belong, shall not prevent... will not precede... those who are asleep... those who have died...  16 For the Master Yahushua Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout. With the voice...  the sound... of the archangel, and with the trump of Yahweh; and the dead in the Anointed One shall rise first.  17 Then we who are alive and remain... we who are left... we who have survived... shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Master, to Whom we belong, in the air; and so shall we forever be with the Master.  18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

Revelation 20:4-6  - First Resurrection
4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of those that had been beheaded for the witness... for the testimony that they had given, by word and deed..., of Yahushua; and for speaking and teaching the word of Yahweh; and I saw the souls of those who had not worshipped the beast, nor his image; and had neither received his mark upon their foreheads or in their hands; and, they lived and reigned together with the Anointed One for a thousand years.  5 Yet the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.  6 Blessed and holy is he who has a part in the first resurrection. On these the second death hath no power, but they will be priests of Yahweh and of the Anointed One; and will reign... will exercise kingly power and control together... with Him a thousand years.

Revelation 20:11-15
  - Second Resurrection and Second Death
11 And I saw a great white throne, and I saw Him Who sat on it. From whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.  12 And I saw the dead, small and great in stature, stand before Yawheh; and the books were opened; and another book was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.  13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them; and they were judged, every man, according to their works.  14 And death and hell were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death;  15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire.
***********************************************************************************

30) I can do nothing of my own purpose and power; but just as I hear... just as I perceive and understand; just as I comprehend..., I judge... I make decision concerning right and wrong..., and my judgment... my opinion and decision making... is just... is faultless... is as it ought to be according to Yahweh's Order..., because I do not seek my own will; but I instead, seek the will of the Father who sent me.

31) If I give testimony of myself that is generated from within myself, then my witness is not true... is not without fault... is not as it should be... is not righteous...

32) There is another who gives testimony of me, and I know that the record that He gives of me is true... is without fault or blemish...

33) You went to John... Yochanan the Immerser... and he bore witness to the truth.

34) However, I do not need to use the testimony from a man; but I say these things so that you might be saved... so that you can be rescued from danger and destruction... I say this for your benefit...

35) He... Yochanan the Immerser... was a burning and shining light; and you were all willing to be exceedingly glad of his light for a time.

36) But I have a greater witness than that which was given of me by John; because the works that the Father has given to me to finish, the same works that I am now doing, these works bear witness of me; and of the fact that the Father has sent me.

37) And the Father Himself, who has sent me, has borne witness of me. None of you... None of you whom I am addressing in answer to your accusations of my breaking my Father, Yahweh's, commandments... have either heard His voice at any time, or seen His shape;

38) And you do not have His word remaining in... working, operating within... you... word=life=illumination=life force... see John Chapter 1 (Expounded)... because the one whom He has sent, you do not believe... you do not place confidence and trust for your lives and eternal existences in Him...

39) Search the scriptures... Do a diligent search through the things that have been written...; for it is in your knowledge of them that you think you have eternal life; and yet, it is the scriptures... it is the writings... that testify of me;

40 And you will not come to me so that you could have life... so that you could have the illumination.. the life force from Yahweh's True Order... within you...

41) I do not receive... I do not take upon myself, for my own use, any... honor from men.

42) But I instead, know you... but instead of using any honor or praise that has been given from the earthy, sensual understanding of things that is inherent in man, or, mankind so that I might be able to gain more, I am aware that all of you, collectively... do not have the love of Yahweh in you.

43) I am here in... in the agency of... my Fathers name... my Father's name, nature, and reputation..., and you do not receive me... and you do not accept me as a part of yourselves...; but, if another should come in his own name... but, if someone else would become known to you in a manner that would elevate his own name and reputation..., you would accept him as one of your own.

44) How can you believe what I am saying to you who do not seek the esteem and honor that comes from Yahweh alone; and who accept honor and esteem from one another instead?

45) Do not think that I will make any accusation of your false claims and lies to the Father. Because there is someone who accuses you already. It is Moses. It is the one in whom you all claim that you place your confidence and trust. It is he who accuses you of falseness.

46) This accusation is obvious. Because if you had placed your confidence in Moses, you would have place your confidence in me; because he wrote of me.

*** A direct reference to Deuteronomy 18:15-19
15 Yahweh your Elohim will raise up a prophet from out of the midst of you. From your brethren. Like me. You shall listen to and obey him.
16 You begged Yahweh your Elohim in Horeb, in the day of the assembly, by saying: Let me not hear again the voice of Yahweh my Elohim. Neither let me see this great fire any more, so that I die not.
17 And Yahweh said unto me, They have done well with what they have spoken.
18 I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like you; and I will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him to say.
19 More than this will happen. For whoever it may be that will not listen to and obey my words, which my prophet shall speak in my name, I will demand accountability for those actions from him.

47) But, if you do not believe his writings, then how can you believe what I say?

John Chapter 4 (Expounded)

John Chapter 4

1) When Yahushua knew that the Pharisees had heard that He had made and immersed... 907 baptizo {bap-tid'-zo} - cleansed by submerging in water... more disciples than John,

2) (Although Yahushua Himself did not immerse any, but His disciples did) See John Chapter 3:22, 3:26

3) He left Iudea and travelled again to Galilee;

4) And by necessity had to go through Samaria.

5) Then He came to a city of Samaria called Sychar... soo-khar' - meaning: "drunken" - probably another name for the town of Shechem, located in Samaria, near the well of Jacob..., which is near to the parcel of ground that Yacob gave to his son Yoseph.

6) Now, Yacobs' well was there; and Yahushua, for this reason, being weary from His journey, rested by sitting on the well: and it was about the sixth hour... Midday...

7) To the well comes a woman to get water; and Yahushua said to her: Give me... let me have... some of the water to drink.

8) (He said this to her because his disciples had gone into the city to buy food)

9) Then, the woman of Samaria said to Him: How is it that you, being a Jew, asks me, a woman of Samaria, for a drink, ? (She said this because the Jews have no dealings... the Jews do not associate... with the Samaritans.)

10) Yahushua answered her and said: If you knew the gift of Yahweh, and who it is that says to you: give me a drink of water, then you would have asked for water from Him; and He would have given you living water.

11) The woman said to Him: Sir, you have nothing with which to draw water, and the well is deep. From what source, then, do you have this... living water?

12) Are you greater than our forefather Yacob, who gave us the well, and drank from it himself; and his children and his cattle?

13) Yahushua answered and said to her: Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again;

14) But, whoever drinks of the water that I give to him will never thirst; but instead, the water that I give to him will be within him a well of water springing up to everlasting life.

15) The woman said to Him: Sir... 2962 kurios {koo'-ree-os} - master - you who have control of me..., give me... let me have... this water so that I will not be thirsty and have to come here to get water.

16) Yahushua said to her: Go. Call your husband; and come here.

17) The woman answered and said: I have no husband. Yahushua said to her: You have spoken well in saying you have no husband.

18) Because you have had five husbands; and the man you are now with is not your husband. In your saying of that you speak the truth.

19) The woman said to Him: Master, I perceive that you are a prophet.

20) Our forefathers worshipped in this mountain; and you say that in Yerushalem is the place where men should worship.

21) Yahushua said to her: Woman, believe me, the hour comes when you will neither in this mountain, nor at Yerushalem worship the Father.

22) You worship what you do not know... you do not comprehend or understand who or what you worship and pay homage to...: We know... we comprehend... who and what it is that we worship: Because salvation... life, safety, preservation, deliverance from harm... is of the jews... 2453 Ioudaios  {ee-oo-dah'-yos} - Jewish, belonging to the Jewish race...;

***What Yahushua speaks to the woman here is referencing the heritage of who they... Yahushua and his disciples... are as Yahweh's historically set apart and chosen people, Israel, largely in the composite form of the northern tribes of Yahudah, Benyamin, and Levi that have become known as Yahudim; and, that the heritage that she has been born from is tainted with the bloodlines of nationalities foriegn to the heritage of Israel which were brought in to take the place of true Israelites in Samaria as they were conquered, taken captive and displaced to other regions within the empires of Assyria and Babylon, to take over the homes and lands of the expatriated of the Northern kingdom of Israel throughout subsequent years... Consequently, antagonistic lines of hatred had been drawn between the true, pure Jew and the "wannabe" of intermingled bloodlines of other Semitic peoples; and even though the Samaritan woman recognizes her lineal descent as being from Yacob, she understands the superior stance of the Yahudim; and Yahushua is stating that she does not really understand what she worships because she is of a line of descent; and of a history of religious beliefs and practices, that is not completely Israel...

From ISBE (International Standard Bible Encyclopaedia)
7540 Samaritans

sa-mar'-i-tanz (Heb: shomeronim; Grk: Samareitai, New Testament; (singular), Grk: Samarites): The name "Samaritans" in 2 Ki 17:29 clearly applies to the Israelite inhabitants of the Northern Kingdom.  In subsequent history it denotes a people of mixed origin, composed of the peoples brought by the conqueror from Babylon and elsewhere to take the places of the expatriated Israelites and those who were left in the land (722 BC). Sargon claims to have carried away only 27,290 of the inhabitants (KIB, II, 55).  Doubtless these were, as in the case of Judah, the chief men, men of wealth and influence, including all the priests, the humbler classes being left to till the land, tend the vineyards, etc.  Hezekiah, who came to the throne of Judah probably in 715 BC, could still appeal to the tribes Ephraim, Manasseh, Issachar, Asher and Zebulun (2 Ch 30:5,10,11,18 ff); and the presence of these tribesmen is implied in the narrative of Josiah's reformation (2 Ch 34:6 f).  Although the number of the colonists was increased by Esar-haddon and Osnappar (Assur-bani-pal, Ezr 4:2,9 f), the population, it is reasonable to suppose, continued prevailingly Israelite; otherwise their religion would not so easily have won the leading place. The colonists thought it necessary for their own safety to acknowledge Yahweh, in whose land they dwelt, as one among the gods to be feared (2 Ki 17:24 ff).  In the intermixture that followed "their own gods" seem to have fallen on evil days; and when the Samaritans asked permission to share in building the temple under Zerubbabel, they claimed, apparently with a good conscience, to serve God and to sacrifice to Him as the Jews did (Ezr 4:1 f).  Whatever justification there was for this claim, their proffered friendship was turned to deadly hostility by the blunt refusal of their request.  The old enmity between north and south no doubt intensified the quarrel, and the antagonism of Jew and Samaritan, in its bitterness, was destined to pass into a proverb.  The Samaritans set themselves, with great temporary success, to frustrate the work in which they were not permitted to share (Ezr 4:4 ff: Neh 4:7 ff. etc.).

From the strict administration of the Law in Jerusalem malcontents found their way to the freer atmosphere of Samaria. Among these renegades was Manasseh, brother of the high priest, who had married a daughter of Sanballat, the Persian governor of Samaria. According to Josephus, Sanballat, with the sanction of Alexander the Great, built a temple for the Samaritans on Mt. Gerizim, of which Manasseh became high priest (Ant., XI, vii, 2; viii, 2 ff). Josephus, however, places Manasseh a century too late. He was a contemporary of Ezra and Nehemiah (Neh 13:28).

23) But the hour comes, and is even now, when the true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth: Because the Father looks for this kind or sort to worship Him.

24) Yahweh is spirit: and they who worship Him must worship in spirit and in truth.

25) The woman said: I know that the Anointed One is coming, who is called the Messiah... Maschiach... When He comes He will tell us all things.

26) Yahshua said to her: I exist... I am here, I am present...  who speaks to you.

27) As this was being spoken, Yahushuas' disciples returned, and were amazed that He talked with the woman: Yet none of them asked: What are you looking for? or, Why are you talking with her?

28) The woman then left her waterpot at the well and went her way into the city; and said to the men of the city,

29) Come with me and see a man who has told me of all the things that I ever did; Isn't this the Anointed One?

30) Then they... the men of the city of Sychar, or, Shechem... went out of the city and came to Him.

31) Meanwhile, His disciples urged Yahshua, saying: Master... Eat!

32) But, He answered them, and said: I have food to eat that you do not know of.

33) Consequently, His disciples said one to another: Has any man brought Him anything to eat?

34) Yahshua said to them: My food... 1033 broma {bro'-mah}... is to do the will of my Father who sent me, and to finish His work.

35) Do you not say: There are four months to go until harvest time? I say to you: Lift up your eyes and look on the fields, for they are already white and ready to harvest.

36 And he that reaps this harvest receives reward for his labor, and gathers fruit towards life without end. So that both He that sows and he that reaps may rejoice together.

37) And in this is the saying true: One sows, and another reaps.

38) I sent you to reap that on which you had put forth no labor: Other men labored, and you are joined in with their labors.

39) And many of the Samaritans of that city believed... placed their confidence... on Him because of the saying of the woman at the well, who testified: He told me all that I ever did!

40) So, when the Samaritans came to Him, they requested of Him that He would remain with them; and he stayed with them for two days.

41) And many more placed their confidence and trust on Him because of His own words;

42) And said to the woman: Now we believe. Not just because of what you told us; but, because we have heard Him for ourselves and know that this is truly the Anointed One, the Savior... soter {so-tare'} -"deliverer" ,or, "preserver"... of the world.

43) Now, after two days, He departed from there and went in to Galilee.

44) Because Yahushua Himself testified that a prophet had no honor in his own country.

45) Then, when He had arrived in Galilee, the Galileans received Him, having seen all of the things that He had done in Yerushalem during the feast: for they also had gone to the feast.

46) So Yahushua came again to Cana, a village of Galilee, where He had changed water into wine. And there was a certain man of royalty, whose son was sick in Capernaum... cap-er-nah-oom - "village of comfort"...

47) When he had heard that Yahushua had come out of Iudea to Galilee, he went to Him, and begged Him to come down and heal his son; for he was at the point of death.

48) Then Yahushua said to him: Unless you see signs and wonders, you will not believe.

49) The nobleman said to Him: Sir, come down, or my child dies.

50) Yahushua said to him: Go your way. Your son lives; and the man believed what Yahushua had spoken to him and went his way.

51) And as he was now going back down to Capernaum, his servants met Him along the road and told him: Your son lives!

52) The he asked the servants at what hour did his son begin to amend... feel better... become well..., and they said to him: Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him.

53) So, the father knew that it was at the same hour in which Yahushua had said to him: Your son lives; and he himself believed; and his whole house.

53) This set of circumstances is the other of the two miracles that Yahushua did when He had come out of Iudea and gone to Galilee.

John Chapter 10 (Expounded)

John Chapter 10

From Chapter 9:

39) And Yahushua said: Who and What I am is now becoming known to this order of things... to the order that is inherent in all mankind... so that this wrong state or condition of existence can be condemned; and so that those, who do not have the power of understanding Yahweh's Truth, Reality and Order, can comprehend... can understand... with the eyes of their mind; and, I have also come so that they who believe that they understand all things because of their experiences in a life that is based on an earthy, sensual comprehension... can be made blind... 5185 tuphlos {tuof-los'} - mentally blind.

40) And those who were of the Pharisees who were with Him heard these words and said to Him: Are we also mentally blind?

41) Yahushua said to them: If you were mentally blind... if you were able to recognise that you are unable to comprehend Yahweh's True Order... then you would not be in a condition of sin against Yahweh's order for all things; but since you, at this time, consider yourselves to able to collectively say: We comprehend and understand what is right and wrong within the order of things that we profess to be a part of... for this reason your sin... your condition of error... your state of existence that is not "as it ought to be" remains... Since you think you already know everything about Yahweh and His Order, you are blind, and you remain rebellious against Yahweh because you cannot be taught by Yahweh about His Order...

1) Truly I tell you; Anyone who does not enter into the enclosed area where the sheep are kept and guarded at night by passing through the doorway, but instead climbs up some other way, is a thief... 2812 kleptes {klep'-tace} - someone who appropriates something fraudulently for their own use... the name is transferred to false teachers, who do not care to instruct men, but abuse the confidence placed in them and what they teach for their own gain... and robber... 3027 lestes {lace-tace'} - a plunderer, someone who goes about searching for the opportunity to take things by using force
Origin: from leizomai (to plunder)

2) But the one who enters in through the door of the enclosure where the sheep are kept and guarded is the shepherd of the sheep.

3) The porter... 2377 thuroros {thoo-ro-ros'} - the doorkeeper... the watcher who guards the doorway... opens the door for him; and the sheep hear his voice. He calls his own sheep by name; and leads them out;

4) And when he brings them out of the sheepfold, he leads them by going in front of them, and the sheep follow him because they know his voice... 5456 phone {fo-nay'} - His sound... His speech... His language...;

5) And they will not follow a stranger... 245 allotrios {al-lot'-ree-os} - they will not follow the leading of someone who belongs to another order... they will not follow a foriegner... they will not follow someone who not of their own family, who is an alien, or, an enemy...; but will run from him because they do not know... 1492 eido {i-do'} - they do not recognize... they do not understand... they don't know what to do with... the voice... 5456 phone {fo-nay'} - the sound... the speech... the language... the dialect... the sound... of strangers... of anyone who belongs to another order... anyone who is not of their own family...anyone who is a foriegner, an alien, or an enemy...

6) Yahshua spoke this parable to them; but they did not understand the meaning of the things that He spoke to them.

7) Then Yahshua spoke to them again: Truly I tell you; I am the door... 2374 thura {thoo'-rah} - I am the doorway... I am the entranceway... for the sheep.

8) All of those who rose up in stature and became established and gained influence as leaders who are to be followed; and who taught of Yawheh's Order before I came are thieves... 2812 kleptes {klep'-tace} - they are false teachers... and robbers... 3027 lestes {lace-tace'} - they are those who take what is not theirs by force for their own use...; but the sheep... but those within mankind who are mine, and who recognise me; and who are unable to mentally grasp and comprehend Yahweh's Order for themselves... did not hear... 191 akouo {ak-oo'-o} - did not understand... did not comprehend... did not learn from... them.

9) I am the door... I am the doorway... I am the entranceway into the enclosure where the sheep are kept in safety during the time of darkness...; and If any one enters this enclosure of safety through me, he/she will be safe... safe from being in a state of grave, perilous danger and destruction... safe from a condemning judgment..., and he/she will be able to enter the sheepfold... the enclosure... and leave... while being led by the true shepherd of the sheep..., and find pasture... food... fodder... pasturage... he/she will not lack the necessities for true, real life that is "as it ought to be"...

10) The thief... the false teacher... only comes to steal... the false teacher's only purpose is to take away... to lead astray... those who do not belong to him/her through stealth and cunning deceit... and to kill... to sacrifice, to slaughter sacrificial victims... those who are sacrificed for the false teachers own gain... and to destroy... to render the sheep useless, to abolish the sheep, to put them out of the way entirely, to cause the loss of the sheep...; I am come... I have been caused to exist... I now appear in history... within the scope and magnitude of time... so that they... so that the sheep... can have... can own... can possess... life, and so that they can own, or possess more of an advantage toward true excellence; and so that they can become a part of what is much more superior; and so that they would be able to be a part of the exceeding abundance that is Yahweh's True Order for all things.

11) I am the good shepherd; The good shepherd gives... 5087 tithemi {tith'-ay-mee} - lays down... sets aside... His life... His existence within the Order that is truly life... and His existence within the physical, sensual order that mankind is made of... for the sake of the sheep.

12) But he who is a hired servant... But when any of those who had risen up by their own endeavors in order to get gain of some kind in past history as leaders and influential teachers of Yahweh's Order..., none of whom is the shepherd, and are those to whom the sheep do not belong, when any of those see a wolf coming, he leaves the sheep and runs away; and the wolf catches them; and the rest of the sheep scatter in blind terror and confusion in all directions.
13) The hired servant runs, because he is a hired hand, and does not care for the sheep.

14) I am the good shepherd; and I know... I perceive... I have an intimate knowledge of... I understand... those who are mine, and I am known... I am recognized... I am perceived for Who and What I am; and I am trusted... by those who are mine.

15) Just as the Father knows... feels, perceives, intimately understands... me, I, likewise, know... I perceive, and intimately understand) my Father; and I lay down... I set aside... I lay down... I establish... my life for... in behalf of... for the sake of... the sheep.

16) And other sheep do I have... I own... I possess..., which are not of this fold; and I must also bring them; and they also will hear... recognize... acknowledge and trust... my voice... my sound or tone, my speech... my language..., and there will be one sheepfold, one shepherd.

17) It is for this reason that my Father loves me. Because I lay down... Because I set aside... my life... My existence within the Order that is truly life... and my existence within the physical, sensual order that mankind is made of... so that I can take it up again... So that I can pick it up... so that I can get it back...so that I can take hold of it again... - so that I can resume my existence within the Order that truly is life again...

18) No man takes my life away from me; but I lay it it down from within my own self. I have the power... 1849 exousia {ex-oo-see'-ah} - I possess the liberty of doing as I please... I have the power of making my own choice... I have the authority... I have the right... to lay my life down; and I have power... 1849 exousia... to take... 2983 lambano {lam-ban'-o} - to pick it up... to get it back... to take hold of... it again. I have received this commandment from my Father.

19) There was a division for this reason among those of the order of the Jews because of these sayings.

20) And many of them said: He has a devil... 1140 daimonion {dahee-mon'-ee-on} - an evil spirit... a messenger or servant of the devil within him... and he is mad... 3105 mainomai {mah'ee-nom-ahee} - he speaks in a manner that shows that he is not in his right mind... Why are you even listening to Him?

21) Others said: These are not the words of one who has a devil... 1140 daimonion {dahee-mon'-ee-on} - an evil spirit... a messenger or servant of the devil within him... Can a demon or evil spirit open the eyes of the blind?

22) Moreover... more than what I have just written of... what I bear record of now took place at Yerushalem, during the feast of the dedication, and it was winter.

"feast of the dedication"
1456 egkainia {eng-kah'-ee-nee-ah} - dedication, consecration; in particular, this is referencing the annual feast which is celebrated for eight days beginning in the 25th of Chislev (in the middle of December according to the Roman Calendar), which was instituted by Judas Maccabaeus [at around 164 BC] in memory of the cleansing of the temple from the pollution of Antiochus Epiphanes...

23) And Yahushua walked in the temple in Solomon's porch.

24) Then those who were of the ruling religious order of the Jews surrounded Him and said to Him: How long are you going to cause us to doubt? If you are the Anointed One, then tell us plainly.

25) Yahushua answered them: I told you, and you did not believe; The works... the labors... the deeds... that I do... that I make... that I produce... the actions that I perform... they bear witness of me.

26) But you do not believe, because none of you are of my sheep, as I have told you.

27) My sheep hear... my sheep recognize... my sheep acknowledge and trust... my voice... my sound... the noise that I make... the language that I speak... and I know... I feel... I perceive and recognise... I understand... I comprehend... them, and they follow... 190 akoloutheo {ak-ol-oo-theh'-o} - they accompany... me.... they follow me wherever I lead them...;

28) And I give to them eternal life; and they will never perish... 622 apollumi {ap-ol'-loo-mee} - they will never be destroyed... they will never become abolished... they will never be put an end to... they will never be lost...; and neither will anyone pluck them... 726 harpazo {har-pad'-zo} - and no one will be able to seize them... snatch them... carry them off by force... from out of my hand.

29) My Father, who gave them to me, is greater than all else that exists; and no one is able to pluck... 726 harpazo {har-pad'-zo} - snatch... seize... force... anything or anyone out of my Father's hand.

30) My Father and I are one... My Father and I have one inherent nature... we exist as one... we are truly in one accord...

31) Then those who were there that were of the ruling religious order of the Jews picked up stones to stone Him with.

32) Yahushua answered them: Many good works... deeds... labors.. products or fruits produced... have I showed to you that are from my Father. Which of those works are you stoning me for?

33) They who were of the order of the Jews answered Him, saying: We do not stone you because of doing a good deed, but because of blasphemy... 988 blasphemia {blas-fay-me'ah} - for slandering... for speaking in a manner that is injurious to G_D's... Ha Shem's... we dare not say His good name... the name, nature, and reputation of Yahweh..., and because you, being a man, make yourself out to be Elohim

34) Yahshua answered them: Is it not written in your law; I said, you are elohim?

A quote from Psalm 82:1-8
Yahweh stands in the congregation of the mighty; He judges among the elohim. How long will you, who are rulers and judges amongst the people, judge unjustly, and accept the outward appearance of the wicked? Selah. Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy. Deliver (rescue) the poor and needy; remove them out of the hand of the wicked. They... the wicked... know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness; all the foundations of the earth are out of course. I have said, Ye are elohim; and all of you are children of the most High. But instead, even though this has been said by me, you will die like men, and fall like one of the princes. Arise, O Yahweh, judge the earth: for you will inherit all nations.

35) Now, if he called them elohim to whom the word of the Sovereign Elohim came, and the scripture cannot be broken;

36) Then do you dare to say to Him whom the Father has sanctified... He whom Yahweh has acknowledged and separated as being free from sin..., and whom He has sent into the world... into the order of things that all mankind is made of...: You blaspheme... 988 blasphemia {blas-fay-me'ah} - You slander... You speak in a manner that is injurious to G_D's... Ha Shem's... we dare not say His good name... You speak in a manner that is injurious to the name, nature, and reputation of Yahweh... You say that to me because I said that I am the Son of the Soveriegn Elohim?

37) If I do not labor at the business of my Father, then do not believe me.

38) But if I do; then even though you do not believe me, believe the deeds that are being done, so that you can know and believe that the Father is in/with/within me, and that I am in/with/within Him.

39) Because Yahushua spoke these things in this manner to them they attempted again to capture Him; But He instead escaped from them,

40) And went away again to the other side of Jordan to the place where John had first immersed people who came to repentance, and He stayed there.

41) And many travelled and came to Him and said: John did not do any miracles, but all of the things that John spoke of concerning this man were true.

42) And many believed on... pistueo {pist-yoo'-o} - many placed their confidence and trust in Him and what he taught them... there.

John Chapter 9 (Expounded)

John Chapter 9

Preface: Yahushua had just escaped being stoned to death by those in the treasury area of the temple after having made an uncompromising comparison very clear to those who perceived themselves to be the elite teachers of the ruling religious order of the Jews, by showing them plainly the differences between the heritage that He had originated and been sent to them from, and that of their forefathers; and by declaring that they, themselves, did not know Him or His Father because of their own heritage. The origin of which was that of the original liar and mankiller who had left the perfection of Yahweh's Order. For they had the natural, inherent tendencies within themselves to be and do as the devil, their father, does. As they were picking up stones to throw at Him, He and His disciples escaped their anger and violence by passing through the midst of them and departed unseen by them.

1) As Yahushua departed the temple area, He saw a man who had been blind since birth.

2) And His disciples asked Him, saying: Master, who sinned... who violated Yahweh's Law... Yahweh's Order for His chosen People, Israel, to live according to... and caused this man to be born blind?... Who is responsible for his condition...? Was it Himself? Or are his parents to blame for his blindness?

3) Yahshua answered: Neither this man, nor his parents have violated Yahweh's Law and are responsible for his blindness, but this has happened so that the business of Yahweh can be made known through him.

4) I must labor to do the business of the One who sent me while it is still daytime. For the night... 3571 nux {noox} - the night - metaphorically refers to the time when all work... all business... all fruits of any labor that are produced by the accomplishments of the hand or the mind... ceases because of physical death... is coming. This is a time when no man... 3762 oudeis {oo-dice'} - no one... is gong to be able to work and produce anything.

5) As long as I am in the world ... as long as I am in the order of things which makes up mankind..., I am the light of... I am the illumination... I am the life force that perpetuates the Truth of my Father and His Order; and I cause true life to be experienced within the order that is... the world... mankind...

*** NOTE*** "Left Behind???"
Since the resurrection of Yahushua, the arrival of the Comforter... the Spirit of Yahushua, which is the Spirit of Prophecy..., is the continuation of Light... the Life Force of Yahweh... existing in the world... in mankind...; and because this is true, the argument for the rapture theory cannot hold any weight whatsoever. For the arrival of the return of Yahushua as King and High Priest of Israel ushers in the millennial reign, proving Yahushua's own words that He will never leave His People; and since Yahushua has never left, and will never leave, the idea that the Spirit of Yahweh is to be taken altogether from the world prior to the time of the end bears no weight whatsoever... There will never be a time when accountability will not be required for all. The Pre, Mid, and Post arguments are vain and useless for there will be NO RAPTURE!...

6) When He had spoken in this manner, He spat on the ground and made clay of the spittle, and He spread the clay on the eyes of the blind man,

7) And said to him: Go and wash in the pool of Siloam..., the blind man went to the pool of the fountain of Siloam, for this reason, and washed, and came away able to see.

*** "pool of Siloam"
4611 Siloam {sil-o-am} - this fountain of water and the pool that was made by it is also called Shiloh - which means sent- in Isaiah 8:6. The indication of the meaning of the hebrew word Siloam, or, the interpretation of sent - the greek equivalent is apostello - is that of someone who has been ordered to go to an appointed place, or, someone who has been allowed to leave a place so that he may be at liberty to progress along his way...

8) The neighbors of this man, because of this, and those who had seen the man when he had been blind, said amongst themselves: Isn't this the man who sat and begged?

9) Some said: This is the man. Others said: He looks like him. He said: I am the man.

10) For this reason they said to him: How were your eyes opened?

11) He answered and said: A man who is called by the name of Yahushua made clay and spread it on my eyes and said to me: Go to the pool of Siloam and wash; and I went and washed; and I received sight.

12) Then they said to him: Where is He? He said: I don't know... I have no idea because I don't know what He looks like for I never saw Him; and I didn't see where He may have gone...

13) They brought the man who had been blind to the Pharisees;

14) And it was the Sabbath day when Yahushua made the clay and opened his eyes.

15) Then the Pharisees also asked him how he had received his sight. He said to them: He... the man called Yahushua... put clay on my eyes; and I washed the clay from my eyes; and now I can see.

16) For this reason some of the Pharisees said: This man... this man called Yahushua... is not of G_d... is not of Ha Shem... we dare not say His name... is not of/from Yahweh... because he does not observe the Sabbath day... because He worked on the sabbath day in order to make the clay that this man said he had to wash out of his eyes... Others said: How can a man do these miracles if he is a violator of the commandments of G_d... of Ha Shem... we dare not say His name... of Yahweh...? And there was a division among them.

*** I do not know at what point in the history of Israel that the name of Yahweh became too holy to utter for His chosen People; but since this practice is prevalent today among those who are Judaistic I point out for clarity the possible depth of blindness that may have been at that time. Certainly the scriptures of the N. T. do not clarify the tetragrammaton, or, any attempt at pronunciation of it, as being associated with the all encompassing term of God...

17) They turned there attention back to the man who had been blind and asked him: What do you say of Him... What is your opinion of this man named Yahushua... since it is He whom you say that has caused your eyes to be opened? He said: In my opinion, He is a prophet... 4396 prophetace {prof-ay'-tace} - I think He is someone who hears from Yahweh, or is moved to action by the inspiration of the Spirit of Yahweh; and then speaks of what he hears, or does according to what he has received by inspiration, in obedience to Yahweh...

18) Because of his statement, those who were of the ruling religious order of the Jews, who thought themselves to be well educated, did not believe... they were not fully persuaded or convinced; and did not place their confidence and trust in... what the man who had been blind said until they had summoned his parents and had spoken with them;

19) And they asked them, saying: Can you verify that this man is your son, whom you say was born blind? If it is true, then can you explain to us how it is possible that he can now see?

20) His parents answered them and said: We know that this is our son, and we know that he was born blind;

21) But the answer to the question of how it is possible that he can now see, or who is responsible for the opening of his eyes, we do not know. He is of age... he is mature...; ask him these questions; and he will speak for himself.

22) His parents spoke in this manner because of their fear... their dread... their terror... of those who were in authority within the order of the Jews. They were in fear because they knew that those in power within the order of the Jews had already agreed together that if any man declared openly that He... that Yahushua... was the Anointed One; then that man would be thrown out and excluded from being able to participate in any of the sacred assemblies of Israel... he would be excommunicated...

23) For this reason his parents said: He is of age... he is mature enough to answer for himself...; ask him.

24) Then, the religious leaders addressed the man who had been blind, and said to him: Give G_d... give Ha Shem... we dare not say His name... give Yahweh... the praise for what has happened to this man; and do not give any credibility to Yahushua for any reason. We are telling you to do this because we know that this man... we know that this man named Yahushua... is a sinner... We know that this man, Yahushua, is a violator of the commandments of Yahweh; and because of this, he cannot possibly have caused any kind of miracle to take place. For G_d... For Ha Shem... we dare not say His name... would not allow such a thing to happen through a sinner...

25) The man who had been blind answered and said: Whether He... Yahushua... is a sinner or not; I do not know: One thing I do know is this. I was blind before he came along; and I can now see.

26) Then they again said to him: What did He do to you? How did He open your eyes?

27) He answered them: I've already told you what happened; and you did not understand me. Why would you listen to me explain it to you again? Do you also want to be disciples... pupils... students that are taught... by Him?

28) Then they reviled him... then they sought to abuse him with their words... and said: YOU are HIS disciple;... YOU are the one who is taught by this sinner who does not obey the commandments of G_d... ha Shem... we dare not say His name... YOU are his pupil...; but WE are the disciples... WE are the pupils... WE are the students who are taught by... Moses.

29) We know that G-d... Ha Shem... we dare not say His name... spoke to Moses, but we do not know who or what the source of inspiration is that He... that Yahushua... speaks and teaches from.

30) The man answered and said to them: What a marvelous... what an extraordinary ... thing this stuation is. You... You who are supposed to be the leaders of the chosen, set apart people of Yahweh..., do not know the source that He... that Yahushua... gets His inspiration and knowledge from; and yet, it is He who has opened my eyes.

31) More than this, we know... we comprehend... we understand... it is commonly understood... that Yahweh does not hear... does not listen to the requests... the prayers... of sinners...; of those who violate His commandments... of those who denounce His Torah by their thoughts and actions... and we understand instead that if any man worships Yahweh and does His will, He... Yahweh... hears... listens intently to... him.

32) Since the world... since all that makes up the order of mankind... began has it ever been heard that any man had opened the eyes of anyone who had been born blind?

33) If this man was not from Yahweh, then, He could do nothing.

34) They answered and said to him: You were altogether... completely... born... fathered... in sins... in errors... in a condition of unrighteousness... you were born blind, imperfect since your conception..., evidently because of the disobedience of your parents in some way... and you dare to attempt to teach us? And they threw him out... They threw him out of wherever he had gone in answer to their summons for the purpose of their invesigations into his claim that a miraculous healing had been done by Yahushua... Possibly a large meeting area within the temple away from the crowds on the streets...

35) Yahushua heard that they had thrown him out; and when He... Yahushua... found him... when Yahushua met him again... Yahushua asked him: Do you believe... are you fully persuaded... fully convinced within your mind of the truth, the nature, and the power of... the Son of Yahweh?

36) He answered and said: Tell me who he is, Master, so that I can place my confidence and trust in Him;

37) And Yahushua said to him: You have both seen Him... 3708 horao {hor-ah'-o} - you have experienced Him...; and you have seen Him with your minds' eye...; and He is talking with you now.

38) And he said: Master... 2962 kurios {koo'-ree-os} - You to Whom I belong..., I believe; and he bowed himself before Yahushua in worship.

39) And Yahushua said: For the purpose of judgment... for the purpose of the condemnation of a wrong state or condition of existence... I am making my appearance... I am becoming known for Who and What I am... to this world... to this order of things... so that they who do not see... so that those who do not mentally grasp and do not have the power of understanding Yahweh's Truth, Reality and Order... can see... can perceive... can comprehend... can understand... with the eyes of their mind...; and, I have also come so that they who believe that they understand all things... because of their experiences in a life that is based on an earthy, sensual comprehension... can be made blind... 5185 tuphlos {tuof-los'} - can be made mentally blind.

40) And those who were of the Pharisees who were with Him heard these words and said to Him: What are you saying? Are we also mentally blind because you say that we do not know you, your origin, or your father?

41) Yahushua said to them: If you were mentally blind... if you understood that you are unable to mentally grasp and comprehend Yahweh's True Order for all things, then..., you would not be in a condition of sin against Yahweh's order for all things; but since you now say: We see... Since you, at this time, consider yourselves to able to collectively say: We comprehend and understand what is right and wrong within the order of things that we profess to be a part of... for this reason your sin... your condition of error... your state of existence that is not "as it ought to be" remains... Since you think you already know everything about Yahweh and His Order, you are blind, and you remain rebellious against Yahweh because you cannot be taught by Yahweh about His Order...
